I am a photographer and musician in Austin, Texas.

I currently run J Stansell Creative and play bass guitar in The Paul Logan Band. I earned my Photographic Artist Certificate from ACC in 2019.

I was born in the late sixties on the coastal plain of Texas, near the Gulf Of Mexico.  I grew up in range of NASA & Austin City Limits.  I shot film for the High School yearbook back in the eighties, but these days I'm all digital.  I enjoy photographing musicians and musical instruments, I’ve spent a few years shooting property photos here in Central Texas, and I’ve had photographs in Texas Monthly and the New York Times.
